Zamackan is an Egyptian band officially launched in 2019 offering fusion music combining pop, jazz, rock with oriental music. The band consists of 5 musicans: Ahmed Sedfy (Lead singer, rhythm guitarist and pianist), Youssef Eid (Composer & second vocal), Youssef Moustafa (Violin and electric guitar), Mostafa Elbadry (Drums) and Mohamed Altannir (Clarinet). The band is fully sponsored by Music Yard, the leading music production house in the MENA region and offer unique songs targeting Egyptian youth and exploring topics about the Egyptian society from a youth point of view. The name “Zamackan” consists of two words “Zaman” time and “Makan” Place, a name created to explore the fusion & mix of music anywhere, anytime removing all musical boundaries.
