Renowned Berlin based record label mobilee records are coming to Cairo Jazz Club 610 on Thursday 7th to showcase an elite crew of their artists. Mobilee was launched in 2005 and quickly established itself as one of the brightest new stars in Berlin’s glittering galaxy of electronic music labels, producers and DJs.
“Rodriguez Jr. reveals a different incarnation of Mateu’s musical psyche, one that strides ahead, guided only by his kaleidoscopic vision; moving through shimmering, contemplative electronica, to deep and urgent techno, left field melodic accents and quirky pop refrains, Rodriguez Jr. is the by-product of an untamed brand of creativity and a thirst for the new and unexpected.”
“Doctor Dru is one of the key proponents of the contemporary house movement. He has a rich, multi-layered history, which permeates into his present output; DJing, working as a drummer, running his own label JEUDI Records, composing for other acts and, of course, producing his own emotive, wistful signature tracks that have cemented his reputation as a purveyor of the finest in house music. Years of deep musical knowledge are reinterpreted into his electronic productions, fueled by his dedication to beats, rhythms and melodies, which began long before his first eighties records got their groove going on.”
“With the value granted by experience, M.E.M.O. is as versatile as he is elegant. The native of Malaga harmonizes talent and technical skills with a suggestive tendency to risk and a natural predisposition to the avant-garde. This will has run through his veins since he was a child, and when he became a teenager he combined his piano studies with his role as a singer and guitarist in a band halfway between rap and metal. A couple of years later, with the boom of the English Breakbeat in Andalusia, electronic music breaks into his life and being still very young, he started playing festivals for more than 20,000 people, turning into a reference within the scene.”
