We’ve got an exciting #AltTuesday ahead of us as we’re hosting American/Egyptian singer Charls Ava! After taking our breaths away with her appearance as the singer of soul/r&b group See The High, she will be presenting her solo project for the first time at CJC on Tuesday 11th. Charls collaborated with producer Mohamed Ragab aka Machine Eat Man to produce a dynamic 12-song electronic rock record exploring psychological and identity struggles, political issues and displacement, titled “The Immigrant” which they will perform live for the first time ahead of its anticipated release.
Playing at CJC for the first time but has been making people move on Cairo dance floors for a year now, Malak Helmy will close the night by spinning a mix of industrial pop with dark broody vocals, hip hop and house that come together over the phrase: have some/keep some.
